Privacy Policy

When you use Muncher, we collect the following information:

• Discord User Data — Your Discord user ID, username, avatar, and the list of servers you share with Muncher. Obtained via Discord's OAuth2 API when you log in to the dashboard.
• Server Activity Data — Message activity (XP/level tracking), moderation actions (bans, kicks, warnings, timeouts), and server membership information. Outside of ticket transcripts, we store activity counts and metadata — not the content of your messages.
• Ticket Transcripts — When a support ticket is closed, the messages in that ticket channel (including their content) are archived so server staff can review them on the dashboard.
• Session Data — A signed session cookie stored in your browser to keep you logged in to the dashboard.

• To operate Muncher's bot and dashboard features (leveling, moderation logs, leaderboards).
• To authenticate you when you log in to the dashboard.
• To display your server statistics and moderation history.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Authorized Muncher staff may access your server's data and account information where necessary to operate the service — including providing support, diagnosing issues, investigating abuse or violations of our Terms, and maintaining the security and integrity of the bot.

Access is limited to these operational purposes. Server administrators can also restrict which of their own members are able to open the dashboard using the server's access controls.

All data is stored in a database on our hosting provider's infrastructure, where it is encrypted at rest, and all data in transit is encrypted via TLS. We retain your data for as long as your server uses Muncher. If you remove Muncher from your server, ticket transcripts are deleted automatically, and you may request deletion of the rest of your server's data at any time.

We use a single signed session cookie to maintain your login state on the dashboard. No tracking or advertising cookies are used.

Muncher integrates with Discord's API. Your use of Discord is governed by Discord's Privacy Policy. We do not control how Discord handles your data.

Depending on the features your server uses, we also share limited data with:

• OpenAI — If a server enables the AI Moderation feature, individual messages (and a few surrounding messages for context) are sent to OpenAI's API to be classified for rule violations. We do not store this content, and OpenAI does not use API data to train its models.
• Stripe — Premium subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
• Railway — Muncher is hosted on Railway, whose infrastructure stores our database with encryption at rest.
• Webhooks — Server administrators can configure automations that send data (which may include message content) to external URLs of their choosing. These are set up and controlled entirely by your server's administrators.

You have the right to:

• Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Revoke Muncher's access to your Discord account at any time via Discord's Authorized Apps settings.

Muncher is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of Muncher after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes.
